I Have Walked Many Miles…

Book of Face: Ch. 11, Verses 67-72

I have walked many miles…

Sometimes toward a destination,
Sometimes aimlessly,
and sometimes in circles…

And it seems that the further I walk, the closer I think I am to a destination,
the more lost I feel…

Like walking blindly into the night… I’m not sure where I’m going… Not sure where this road will take me… Not sure… of anything…

After all my questioning, my questing for an answer, my search for ‘truth’, I have realized but one thing…

“I know that I know nothing.”

Sometimes I may feel like the wisest man in Babylon,
Or the greatest sinner amongst the saints,
The most foolish of all the wise men,
The most pious of the spiritually devoid,
The greatest of weak men,
The king of a castle in the sand…

“I know that I know nothing.”

And maybe that’s a good place to start…
A foundation of rock in a world of sand…
Tossing away preconceptions, all my preconceived notions, all that I thought I knew…

There is nothing we can know,
But we can believe…
And we can hope…

And I believe…
And I hope…

“I am not lost”

Namaste
